The Landdrost in Almere in contrasting black and white
The Landdrost is an office building on Hospitaaldreef, in the center of Almere. The building consists of a 13-storey office tower and a 9-storey education tower. The design is by ZZDP architects from Amsterdam. Windesheim University of Applied Sciences is located in the education tower.
I converted the photo to high-contrast black and white using Nik Collection Silver Efex Pro. By photographing the angle from close up, a triangle of light and dark lines is created. By including a piece of the upper edge of the low-rise in the corner, which is almost at right angles to the other lines, a playful interruption of the pattern is achieved. The border also adds depth to the photo.
